Step by Step Itinerary
Part 1: Feniko Electric Boat – Explore Hue's Three Historic Rivers (90 Minutes) - Boarding at Chuong Duong or Toa Kham Boat Pier
Your journey begins at either Chuong Duong Boat Pier or Toa Kham Boat Pier in Hue.
Board the modern Feniko electric sightseeing boat and settle into your seat. The cruise takes you through three historic waterways that have played important roles in the development of the former imperial capital: the Perfume River, Dong Ba River, and Ngu Ha River.
Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere as the boat begins its journey through the heart of Hue.
Truong Tien Bridge and Dong Ba Market
The first highlights of the cruise are Truong Tien Bridge and Dong Ba Market, two familiar symbols of Hue.
Truong Tien Bridge is one of the city's most recognizable landmarks, spanning the Perfume River with its distinctive historic design. It has long been closely associated with the identity and everyday life of Hue.
Nearby, Dong Ba Market is one of the most famous traditional markets in Central Vietnam. With a history of more than 127 years, it remains an important commercial and cultural center where visitors can discover local products, traditional foods, and the daily life of Hue residents.
Take photographs and enjoy the riverside views before continuing toward Dong Ba River.
Cruise Along Dong Ba River – Discover the Historic Gia Hoi Area
The boat continues along Dong Ba River, revealing a quieter and more traditional side of Hue.
Along the way, admire:
Gia Hoi Bridge: A local landmark connecting the historic riverside neighborhoods.
Dong Ba Bridge (Cau Den): Another recognizable crossing along this historic waterway.
Gia Hoi Old Town: An area associated with the commercial and cultural development of historic Hue.
Gia Hoi was once an important trading and residential area of the former imperial capital. Its streets and traditional buildings reflect the city's diverse cultural influences and its history as a center of commerce.
This part of the journey offers an interesting introduction to the neighborhood you can explore further by GCOO electric bicycle after the boat cruise.
Enter Ngu Ha River Through Thanh Long Water Gate
Continue through Thanh Long Water Gate to enter Ngu Ha River, an important historic waterway within Hue Imperial City.
Developed during the Nguyen Dynasty, Ngu Ha formed part of the imperial city's sophisticated water management and urban planning system. The river played an important role in water circulation, drainage, landscape design, and the daily life of the former capital.
As the boat moves along this historic waterway, discover a different perspective on Hue's architectural and cultural heritage.
Discover Dong Thanh Thuy Quan and Cau Kho Water Gate
The journey continues past Dong Thanh Thuy Quan, also known as Luong Y Water Gate, and Cau Kho Water Gate.
These historic structures are associated with the waterway and defensive systems of Hue's former imperial capital. They reflect the close relationship between architecture, water management, and military planning during the Nguyen Dynasty.
The route also offers views toward Mang Ca, a historically significant military area within the former imperial city.
At the designated turning point near Khanh Ninh Water Gate, the boat turns back and continues toward the next stop.
Arrive at Dieu De Pagoda Boat Pier
After exploring the historic waterways, the boat arrives at Dieu De Pagoda Boat Pier.
Step ashore and visit Dieu De Quoc Tu (Dieu De Pagoda), an important Buddhist religious site in Hue.
Take time to appreciate the temple's architecture and peaceful atmosphere before continuing to the Feniko stop at 94 Bach Dang Street.
Part 2: Optional GCOO E-Bike Experience – Explore Gia Hoi Old Town (30 Minutes) - Start at Feniko Stop – 94 Bach Dang Street
